Emerging Leaders
Closing the Gap
PESA's Emerging Leaders Committee began in 2006 with the intent to close our industry’s generation gap. The tenets of the plan were to bring the younger generation into PESA, its events, and its benefits; and to create programs with value both for future leaders and for PESA.
Today, the Emerging Leaders are among the most active committees in PESA, hosting four to five events per year. The group sponsors its signature events - Oil 101 and the Executive Address Series - as well as Emerging Leaders-only social events and other industry functions.
Emerging Leaders Signature Events
In addition to industry events, the Emerging Leaders Committee sponsors two unique events each year-Oil 101 and the Executive Address Series.
Oil 101 is based on PESA’s highly successful Foreign Service Officers Training Program, and gives an overview of the drilling process from seismic to completions to economics. A typical class has more than a dozen of the industry's best speakers on hand. The PESA Executive Address Series presents an opportunity to interact with those who shape the industry’s direction and progress.
