Steven C. Dixon is currently Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice-President Operations and Geoscience for Chesapeake Energy. He was named Chief Operating Officer in February 2006. Mr. Dixon served as Senior Vice President, Production from 1995 to February 2006 and served as Vice President, Exploration from 1991 to 1995. Mr. Dixon was a self-employed geological
consultant in Wichita, Kansas from 1983 through 1990. He was employed by Beren Corporation in Wichita, Kansas from 1980 to 1983 as a geologist.

Mr. Dixon graduated from the University of Kansas in 1980.
