Robert is the Group President of the Distribution Services business unit at National Oilwell Varco (NOV). The Distribution Services business unit at NOV includes Mono/Monoflo and over 200 Distribution Service Centers located in 26 countries and generates in excess of $1.5 billion of annual revenues. Robert started his career at NOV in 1991 in field operations while studying Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University, and has since served in a broad range of progressive leadership positions including GM of National Oilwell de Venezuela based in Maracaibo, Venezuela and eventually as VP of Operations.

He received his MBA from Rice University in 2005, is a Director of LSNOW (NOV’s joint venture with the government of Gansu Province in Lanzhou, China), and is Immediate Past Chairman of PESA. He also is a member of various industry organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute (API), the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA).
